This project involved the safe removal of a deteriorating metal fire escape that had become a significant safety risk. Due to its size, weight, and location, the removal required careful planning and precision execution, utilising a 70-ton crane to ensure a controlled and efficient lift over the property. 

Comprehensive risk assessments and method statements were developed to guarantee a safe operation, with strict adherence to health and safety protocols. The lift was coordinated to minimise disruption to the surrounding area while ensuring the structural integrity of the building was maintained.

Through expert planning and specialist equipment, the fire escape was successfully removed and safely disposed of, eliminating a hazard and enhancing the overall safety of the site - allowing further work on the building to commence.
